New Moon Total Solar Eclipse In Leo August 21st, 2017 – History Is Made

Great American Eclipse Leo visibility meaning predictions horoscope astrology

There’s eclipses every year. Then there’s this one. The so-called “Great American Eclipse” New Moon Total Solar Eclipse at 28 degrees Leo of August 21st is a big enough event that in some minds it will be remembered in “before” and “after” reference points.

Astronomically, it’s called the “Great American Eclipse” for the full coast-to-coast visibility here in the U.S. (the New Moon will be exact at 1:30 PM Central Standard Time, but the eclipse will be visible around 1:09 PM CST). The shadow of the eclipse falling on U.S. soil, plus the impact the eclipse will have on the “birth” chart of America (aka the “Sibley” chart) promises history changing events from an astrological perspective.

I’ve written about how this eclipse ties into some of the biggest milestones in recent American history as well as Continue reading “New Moon Total Solar Eclipse In Leo August 21st, 2017 – History Is Made”

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse In Aquarius: Visionaries On Fire!

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse Aquarius Leo August 7th

Eclipses are always a bumpy ride. Full Moon Lunar Eclipses, while not as intense as New Moon Solar Eclipses, still tend to be agitating and disruptive, bringing long lasting changes. Full Moon Lunar Eclipses bring cycles to their conclusion or to their fulfillment, so as to allow the new beginnings that start under New Moon Solar Eclipses. The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 15 degrees Aquarius of Monday, August 7th, 2017 (1:11 PM CST exact) is a highly exciteable, potentially volatile eclipse that challenges us to fight fire with cool reasoning. When Are The Next Supermoons?

Astrology supermoon times dates

A Supermoon is an astrological term for what astronomers call perigee-syzygy or perigee New/Full Moon; aka when the New or Full Moon is at its closest to Earth on its orbit. This makes the Moon look heap big and bright, supremely photogenic. Supermoons have a noticeable effect on the tides above and beyond regular New/Full Moons, at an increase of around 19% (which is either significant or insignificant, depending on who you ask, but is still tangible either way).

Astrologically, one could look at Supermoons as reduced eclipses in intensity and duration. The effects last as long as any typical New/Full Moon but man, what a punch they can pack while in effect!

Sometimes Supermoons coincide with actual eclipses, such as we’ll see in 2018. Not too soon to mark your calendar, both for dramatic sky watching and photography opportunities and for unfolding of events.
