Using Psalms And The Moon’s Cycles To Turn Dreams Into Visions

New full Moons eclipses dreams visions psalms

Even the most casual observer of the Moon’s cycles will notice an increase in dream frequency, intensity, and message around the New and Full Moons and especially at eclipses. The Moon is the light of the night world and thus the conduit of dreams; astrologically, there are certain lunations more prone than others to delivering cinematic quality dreams rich in meaning. Knowing the timing of such lunations by watching Gilded Splinters Astrology for lunar posts tagged “dreams” and utilizing the power of the Psalms as a guided meditation can set you on a path of turning dreams into full visions. Astro Space Weather: July 2017

Astrology forecasts daily monthly predictions horoscopes July 2017

The month of July is nothing if not exciting – even if not always exciting for the right reasons. An ongoing grand trine in the fire signs – Uranus in Aries, Mercury, Mars, Sun and North Node in Leo, Saturn in Sagittarius – provides enthusiasm and optimism in spades!

All the fire signs exhibit an innocent and almost childlike openness to adventure and new possibilities. Whatever crap life throws your way, the fire signs are sure it’s just an aberration and not really how life is supposed to be. There’s eternal faith that something better is in store somewhere. Coming off of literally years of brutal cycles in rapid succession, the grand fire trine this summer should do a lot to restore basic optimism that life is still ok, we’re still ok. The astrological fire emphasis coinciding with summer makes me think of the ways fire itself is used in summertime: campfires, bonfires, fireworks, grilling and barbecuing. The innocence of the season is as great a time as any to rekindle the flames of innocent joy.

This is most true in July during Cancer season, as Cancer is a water sign ruled by the Moon and associated with home, hearth, family, food, roots, heritage, national heritage and heartland. Never a better time to focus on the simple perennial joys of living, the small comforts. Cancer is also a sign that is aware of the darker depths but will go to great lengths to remain blissfully unaware of them – a major misstep at this point in time.

However, mixed in with this joie de vivre are strikingly different motifs of anger, passion, betrayal, and danger. Continue reading “Astro Space Weather: July 2017”

Welcome The Dog Stars And Dog Days Of Summer!

SIRIUS SUMMER Dog Days Dog Stars

The dog days of summer is a common expression, though not everyone knows where the saying originated. It is an astrological/astronomical reference to the fixed star Sirius, aka the “dog star” located in the Canis Major constellation. Sirius is a fixed star in the Western tropical zodiac sign of Cancer, and experiences its heliacal rising (aka becomes most visible on the eastern horizon just before sunrise) during Cancer season.

Many old farmers almanacs will list the dog days as being from July 3rd to August 11th, with Sirius making its big appearance around July 19th. However, the days leading up to Sirius’ heliacal rising were usually considered to be the sultriest. As Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky, Continue reading “Welcome The Dog Stars And Dog Days Of Summer!”

The Eclipse That Kicks The Hornets Nest Pt. 1: The Saros Series 145

Great american eclipse astrology gilded splinters

As the title of this article implies, this is the first in a long series detailing the astrological magnitude of the so-called “Great American Eclipse” that will take place August 21st, 2017. This eclipse will be of great historical importance to the world but particularly the United States, where the shadow of this eclipse will make landfall from coast to coast.

As with all astrology, we predict the future based on past events, so this series starts by looking at eclipses that have greatly impacted the United States. More specifically, we’re going to look at eclipses in the Saros 145 cycle, some of which have literally packed the biggest punches and is the Saros series that the Aug. 21st eclipse belongs in.
